Our parish offers a very carefully designed and educationally sound catechism program for our children from Pre-K to 12th grades. The teaching staff consists of a group of caring adult Catechists who proclaim and share the Catholic faith, the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, the Church Doctrines and the Syro-Malabar traditions.
About 300 students attend religious education classes on Sundays. Each Sunday the CCD class starts with the 10 AM Holy Mass, all children attend Mass and go to their class rooms where class room instructions are given by teachers. So our catechism begins with Holy Eucharist, the most important celebration of our faith, and continues through teacher led class room faith activities. Classes will be over by 1:00 PM with lunch for all children.
We have English Mass on 3 Sundays per month for CCD children, youth, young adults and all other parishioners. We have more than 14 dedicated class room teachers, about 30 teaching assistants and supporting staff for the CCD program. All are dedicated volunteers who are given frequent in-service training and professional development classes. All teachers and support staff have completed their background checks and Safe Environment Training as mandatory requirements.
