OFFICIALS 2026-27
Syro Philly Youth took part in multiple activities that enhanced their relationship with Christ and our community. They set up the Living Station dramatization for evening Good Friday service, as well as hosted several events, including Christmas Lock-in, Thanksgiving potlucks and Eagles watch party, Vacation Bible School, parish picnic, assisting/teaching catechism, regional conferences, Monte Carlo Game Night, Perunal, Christmas caroling, and bake sales. They also participated in and coordinated activities within the community, such as basketball and volleyball tournaments, March for Life, Steubenville conference, and Ecumenical. Syro Philly Youth organized the Syro Speaker Series, one being with Archbishop Nelson Perez of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Additionally, they have organized several Qurbana on Campus events hosted by the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University at St. Agatha and St. James’ Parish, Villanova University, and the University of Delaware. They also host summer Movie Nights, Cradles to Crayons volunteering event, as well as the Qurbana Explained webinar and discussion series with Fr. Kevin Mundackel. Syro Philly Youth helped coordinate and participate in Holy Week activities such as Reading the Passion Narrative, Washing of the Feet, Live Stations of the Cross, and the Easter Egg Hunt. Teen’s Prayer was also brought back as an initiative for high schoolers to have religious and social formation. World Youth Day was celebrated in Portugal, and our church sent a group to represent our parish.
