Feast of Christ The King
Solemnity of the feast of Christ the King was celebrated on Sunday, November 20, which was the last Sunday of the liturgical calendar. It was also the official closing of the Year of Mercy announced by Pope Francis. 12th grade students coordinated the festal celebrations with active participation of children from all grades. Activities included a colorful procession after holy mass, children holding and waving multi-color festal and papal flags, carrying portrait of Christ as Universal King, and shouting slogans of Win, Win Christ the King, Long live Christ the King etc., followed by a power point presentation on the history, meaning and importance of the feast. It was an example of a common catechism class portraying the celebration of our faith through a faith activity.
